OTOC Australia in conjunction with Juwi Renewable Energy recently completed the $40M DeGrussa solar power project which uses innovative solar diesel hybrid technology to reduce both operating costs and CO2 emissions.

The innovative project is the largest integrated off-grid solar and battery storage facility in Australia. Joint venture partner solar engineering company juwi, were responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of the solar power facility. Geo-Metric, a leading specialist in engineering survey and member of the OTOC Group, undertook detailed surveying for the project. OTOC Australia installed the nearly 4,700 steel posts and over 30,000 solar PV panels.

Electrical cabling and installation of a 6MW lithium-ion battery storage facility was also part of the work for OTOC Australia.

The video which follows explores the innovative project in detail.
